FootJoy Mens Fj Flex Golf Shoes Review
FootJoy Mens Fj Flex Golf Shoes Review

While lifestyle offerings are nothing fresh to Footjoy Golf Shoes, the flex represents one of their primary efforts to design a shoe that can be worn on the course and off.

While the lightweight mesh upper and springy cushioning delivers on the entire day relaxation side, we wanted to know how well it would stand up to a massive swing with the driver.

Key technology FootJoy Men’s Fj Flex Golf Shoes

  • The Versa-Trax outsole is engineered with traction elements – best for actual performance with wear-to-the-course versatility.
  • Flex provides a rounded one with a standard fit across the forefoot and instep. Toe spring and a pretty narrow heel complete the design.
  • The lightweight mesh upper offers breathability and comfort, helped by the soft EVA midsole underfoot.

Performance

The grip was amazingly effective in the dry situations it was designed for.

There is also an element of lateral stability to offer some control and support on tee shorts.

It is a wider-fitting shoe than most other FJ models, mainly around the midfoot, so be sure to really before you buy.

Once laced up, it feels soft and best all-around, particularly underfoot and around the ankle.

Comfort

Comfort is unquestionably the stand-out spec – you could walk eighteen holes, wear the sneakers in the clubhouse, and then go home without feeling the need to take them off.

The fact it is not a waterproof model will put some people off. Still, we view many golfers opting for flex like a second sneaker for summer given the lower price point, working in conjunction with top performance, waterproof pair for competitive rounds, or when the weather forecast is iffy.

Flex does the work right, and it comes in 3 colors so you can match them to your favorite hot month’s outfit.

Versatile traction

The Versa-Trax outsole is engineered with traction elements to make an outsole that is best for actual performance with wear-to-the-course versatility.

Each traction zone increases traction during your swing and offers impressive grip when walking the course.

Conclusion

If you are looking for a pair of sneakers that you can comfortably wear full day, the Footjoy flex will fit the bill.

Aggressive swingers and those playing in messy situations will want something with extra traction on the course, but the flex is best for those days when you want to slip a range session in between life’s other commitments.
